Drove from Newark, CA to Tacoma, WA in roughly 14 hours (roughly 800 miles). Didn't take as much of a toll on my right leg as last time since I too breaks every three hours or so to stretch.
It was definitely the worst road trip I have taken, though. First off, Alexandra was too busy to see me because she had a classmate drop out and so her group had to pick up his workload last minute (I hate teachers that do not give you special consideration when someone drops a class suddenly). I then had some high school kids toss their fast food trash out their car window which hit my windshield. Of course there was still some meat in it, so I got a nice smear on the right side of my windshield. Got my gas involuntarily pumped by some buy who didn't even wash my windows with their crap squeegee. That led to horrible streaks on my windshield all over. At the first (of many) hotels that I stopped at that was full, they were nice enough to give me some rags to wipe off the streaks. Called Jer and my dad who were both busy independently about where to spend the night since basically every place from Albany, OR to Tacoma, WA was booked. Ended up staying at some no-name motel for the night at 00:30 and then finished the rest of the short drive in the morning.
Blah. Not fun. Although I did surprise myself with the ability to drive 14 hours in a day.
