Reader
Just a quick update on my impressions of Google Reader. So far, so good. I was wondering how they were going to handle updates to sites (whether I would have to manually cause an update, etc.), but it turns out that it opens to a view that lists all new items. And it is very fast, so I suspect they just refresh all feeds at a set interval and just update the view for everyone who uses that view. That would save a lot of processing time.
Everything is stuff that just need some polishing. For instance, when viewing the feed list it can take a little while for the list to show up, leading to clicking on the wrong thing. Otherwise maybe a way to force a specific sort? Basically I am happy so far. We will see if this leads to a permanent move or not.
The last major thing that has been a problem are my friends that use Xanga. I hate all three of you (Bryan, Gabe, and Debbie)! They *still* don't have a valid RSS feed! I have to go through someone else's site to get a valid feed. It is not that hard to get right. What moron's run Xanga?!? Bah!
