I can't wait for Team Fortress 2!

Before Counter-Strike became the de-facto multiplayer mod for Half-Life (HL), there was Team Fortress Classic (TFC). That game was always a blast. Along with HL and CS it is one of the few reasons I miss having a PC.

But luckily I know own a ps3. =) And that means I can play the Orange Box which include HL2 and TF2. I just finished watching the "Meet the Engineer" trailer and it was highly entertaining. When this game comes out in November I am going to need my work mostly done as I might disappear for a little while. =)

The Stranglehold demo is fun!

I just played the Stranglehold demo. That was fun! It's Max Payne, but with John Woo flair (which means over-the-top). Brain-dead entertainment which is always a nice thing.

Might have to think about picking a copy up when it is released later this month.

Tried a Wii last night

I only had a chance to try some mediocre racing game, Wii Bowling, and Wii Boxing, but it was fun. Wii Boxing is tiring! I can see why people are using the Wii for aerobic workouts now.

Calling All Cars is great!

I just bought and downloaded Calling All Cars yesterday. Played two-player split-screen with Arjun until he was exhausted. Even got Meesh to join in for a couple of games which she enjoyed. This game rivals Trash Talk: Double Trash for swearing potential. =)

I scratched my PS3 itch

Decided to go for it. Took forever, though, has the purchase was flagged by my credit card company and it had to be cleared both by Visa and my bank. Picked up Resistance, God of War, and Casino Royale on Blu-Ray.


Read the manual last night. Set the box up last night and patched the firmware. I ran the Folding@Home client for almost two hours (that thing is fast!). Now I am downloading a bunch of demos from the Playstation Store.

And to the comments about buying a PS2 cheap in my last post: the purchase was not about playing PS2 games as that was just considered a perk. It was to get a current generation system that has online play that was not an XBox 360. PS3 fit that better than the Wii does at the moment.
