While shopping with Meesh and a visiting friend of hers I realized I need a new wallet. At the moment I have three parts to the stuff I carry around that a wallet normally handles.
First is my money clip. It was a gift from my brother for being his best man back in the summer of 2003. At this point, though, it just doesn't clip as well as it used to. This is a problem for me as I tend to go rather long with little or no cash. And Canada just exacerbates the situation through having $1 and $2 coins, cutting out any accumulation of small bills.
Second is my current wallet. It holds my credit cards, membership cards, business cards, etc. Anything card-sized goes in there. The biggest thing that is handy is to be able to flash my bus pass. The wallet actually works fine. It only has so many divisions so I don't go nuts in terms of organizing.
And lastly, the watch pocket on my jeans for coins. As I said, living in Canada means a lot of change thanks to the loonie and toonie. Problem is that little pocket in your jeans does not hold much and can be a pain to get change out of.
So three separate things, two of which are suboptimal. At this point I think I need a wallet that has a zippered coin purse built into it. I don't want a button as they can wear out. I have already found a nice card holder if I can manage to find a wallet to subsume the money clip and coin holder since I suspect I won't find a wallet that can also hold my business cards.
Otherwise I need to get a reasonable coin purse.
