More photos from my camera

Since people seemed to have liked my last cell phone shots, I figured I would upload other ones I have from the past year.

Photos from the Celebration of Light

I finally uploaded the photos I took during the Celebration of Light. All were taken during the Spain entrant using my cell phone. This was actually the weakest entry out of the three I saw (Spain, Canada, and the finale; missed China).

Picasa Web Albums gains location data for photos

Looks like I am not the only person interested in geotagging photos. Pretty easy to tag where photos are in Picasa Web Albums now. And the map for an entire album is neat.

Unfortunately for my vacation photos I don't remember the exact locations well enough to be able to tag them. But for my photos of UBC, Washington, and California I am able to tag down to what side of a building I was on. I did not link photos that would put locate the exact address of anyone out of privacy concerns.

Richard Jones (friend of mine from the Python world who I unfortunately see at PyCon as he lives in Australia) snapped a photo of me. Meesh initially thought it was a cute photo of me since she was sitting a slight distance from my computer screen. But when she got up close she saw the true expression on my face. =)

More photos are up

I posted more photos to Picasa Web. I have now have photos from the trip to Britain my dad and I took after my graduation from Cal. There are also pictures from the trip my mom, her friend Steve, and I took on the way to, during, and after my brother's wedding.

Those are all the photos I have from major trips (before this I had a film camera and I have never scanned those images). I have a few random photos I have taken between starting to use a digital camera and the "old" photos I already posted that I might get around to posting.

And if you really care about knowing when I post new photos then you should really subscribe to the RSS feed at Picasa Web. I will probably post here when I upload new stuff, but I cannot guarantee I will remember.

Various photos online

Since all of the photos I have uploaded to my blog at various times is going to end up in Picasa Web Albums, I figured I should go ahead and start uploading some various photos. To start there is an album called "Old Photos" that contains various shots that I have taken since leaving for UBC that I personally like. Every photo that does not have me in them is taken by me, otherwise they are by Meesh (and yes, the photos of me are actually good).


Depending on space constraints on Picasa Web, I might go through my backlog of photos not in iPhoto and upload my favourites. That mostly depends on time and me feeling like bothering. =)
