The fine print on the free Gizmo-to-landline calls

Turns out you have to be an active user where "active" means a few calls a week using Gizmo. Not that big of a thing, but still, you can't just sign up and not use it just for that one long distance call to your grandma or not have other people call you. Makes some sense from a business perspective since then you make sure people actually use the service and thus push their friends to sign up.

Anyway, if you live in the States and would like to talk to me more often on the phone, setting up a Gizmo account and using it would save me money and motivate me to call more often.
