Had fun at Google's Eng Off-Site

Twice a year Google takes all of their engineering employees for an off-site event where basically we spend the day just enjoying ourselves while getting paid and not having to shell out a dime to do anything fun. The summer event has been at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (this was number 5). I missed last year because I was too busy to blow a day of work.

I ended up haning out with Joe (my cubemate), Tommy (fellow intern from last summer who is now full-time), Christoph (works in Testing Tech with me and started my week), and Larry (full-timer who gave me the boring work =). Ended up playing laser tag twice, eating good food, and hitting every major ride on the boardwalk.

The photo was taken after Joe, Larry, Tommy, and myself took the log ride (we also sat in that order from front to back). I managed to get the most soaked out of anyone. The thinking as to why the guy in the back of the log with roughly 750 lbs. of weight in it got the most wet is because the waves crested over the sides towards the back of the log.

Anyway, it was a fun day. And I still love Google. =)
