Religious right upset at Golden Globes

Having a movie about gay cowboys or a transsexual seems to have upset the religious right. Big, freakin' shock.

What I love, though, is the attack on the Golden Globes for not being more for profit: "the media elites are proving that their pet projects are more important than profit". The leader of Concerned Women for America also mentioned that "If America isn’t watching these films, why are they winning the awards?" because profit is the end-all, be-all for movies. WTF. What a stupid remark. The general public does not always go and see the best films (Cinderella Man got high praise but hardly anyone saw and would not have upset the religious right). Ugh. Ignorance in America.
