Now on Twitter

I now have a Twitter account (which is why there is now a Twitter box in the right-hand column). We will see if I can keep this up. I am using both the built-in Jabber support to IM in updates through Google Talk and Twitterrific.

I decided to go with Twitter since it has an SMS number in Canada. That gives me the greatest flexibility in terms of updating my status. Jaiku's aggregation of feeds on top of status updates is nice, I was able to accomplish the same idea of a lifestream using Yahoo Pipes (which lea to this feed and the new item in the right-hand-column). Twitter also has the more in-depth API, although I still prefer the docs as laid out by Jaiku. Plus the whole channel thing can also be done using Yahoo Pipes if desired.

With Twitter and Google Calendar/email, I probably will not check Facebook much anymore which was the major goal in all of this.
