Links for environmentally -friendly products

I read the latest issue of Vanity Fair which is their annual green issue. Rather interesting to realize how many trees are cut down every year to make toilet paper (500,000 acres worth). The NRDC has a page of household paper product producers and lists how much recycled paper they use.

If you care about your food being raised organically and/or humanely, you can see who has been certified to be USDA organic. If you prefer a non-governmental organization, there is Certified Humane. When you care about the people making the products, you can see if they are Fair Trade Certified.

If the forest is your thing, you can read up on what you can do at the Rainforest Alliance and the Forest Stewardship Council.
