Ignoring the fact I was told today that some repair parts for my laptop may not be available to ship until December 20, I had to be disgusted by a bunch of people.
Because of large amount of snow Vancouver has received since this past weekend, the trolley lines going into campus were blocked by fallen trees. This has led to only a single bus line that runs along probably the busiest street in the Lower Mainland reaching campus.
This also means that the bus lines are long. People have been waiting 45 minutes or more to get on a bus. But what is worse is that people are now sneaking on to the back of the buses and thus essentially cutting in line.
It's cold, you have been standing in line for quite a long time, you're bored. A bus finally comes, giving you a glimmer of hope of getting on, and instead of even having a chance, a bunch of greedy assholes dash for a back door, push their way on, and fill in any space that people properly waiting in line could have taken. Ugh. Vancouver has not coped well with this snow.
