How can people make such ignorant statements that the US was founded by Christians? The US was founded by mostly deists and atheists.
How are people getting through high school without being taught these basic facts? To fight ignorance one must educate, but it seems some key points about the founding of the US is not being covered. It's a shame that we don't require something like the citizenship test to graudate high school or something so that all Americans can at least have the same level of knowledge as someone who comes to the States.

I was reading a Fark thread today where someone said the *exact* same thing about America being founded by Christians. I just assumed that's where you were linking.
