My Shures broke

So my nice earphones that I bought during my first summer at Google just had the left earbud basically stop working. I am going to double-check at home that it is not the audio jack in my laptop when I get home, but basically I am considering them kaput.

That means it is time to figure out what to do for listening to music at work. I have always had earbuds that I carried with me in my bag for use at work. But beyond using them at work, I rarely use my earbuds. I have a pair of nice Sennheiser headphones at home. And I don't listen to music while jogging or on the bus. This means it makes more sense to have a nice pair of headphones that I leave at work and then a cheaper pair that I keep in my bag for the occasional use I have on the run.

But of course finding Sennheisers in Vancouver is difficult. I think I finally found a shop that carries at least one of the headphones I wanted on the sixth try. Here is to hoping ...

Is it still under warrenty? maybe you can get it replaced for free.

My sony MDR broke a few month too, but I guess it's easier to replace it since it's only $25 :P

Looks like they are. Going from http://www.shure.com/PersonalAudio/CustomerSupport/index.htm to http://personalaudio.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/personalaudio.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=3306 seems to suggest they are still under the two-year warranty based on the fact that they have a product number of 275 (27th week of 2005). And for handling it from Canada I need to follow http://www.shurecanada.com/sales_info.htm#warranty .
