Local file sharing on OS X

There are two ways to share files on Macs; AFP and external apps. AFP is set up following these instructions. This lets you use your Public folder for people to have access to files in that directory. If someone needs to give you a file they can drop it off in your Drop Box.

External apps, such as iShare, can also be used. This gives you more options by allowing more than a single directory to be shared.
