Basic cookware needs?

One side-effect of spending time with Meesh is that I have started to cook more. That means I have a need for better cookware. So, to act as a guide of what I need, let's look at two things I like to eat, macroni & cheese and pancakes/waffles.

For the first, I need a pot, mixing spoon, measuring cup, strainer, and measuring spoons. The strainer must have small holes so that the pasta does not fall through and the measuring spoons would be great if they could somehow measure three Tbsp at once.

For waffles there is a mixing bowl, mixing spoon or mixer, turner, and a frying pan. Turner has to be big enough to grab a pancake. Waffles replace the turner with a waffle iron.

And what do I have of any of these things personally? A frying pan. Not doing too well. =)

cooking is a great pastime. you can start out super easy by using Bisquick and bread crumbs. I'll send you some great websites!

Who needs measurement tools? trust me I've learned from Whit that guessing approx. measurements tends to make life easier and the food the way you want it. Just a thought for you to branch out of the equated world and freebird it.

baking requires strict measurements but cooking is all to taste. and at least you have a frying pan (no thanks to kristie). might i recommend buying cheap stuff that is easily replaceable until you have a permanent residence for most of school...?
