Google announces a newsreader: "Google makes a dramatic play for the lucrative RSS newsreader industry! Or maybe they just thought a Google newsreader would be kinda fun."
So far it is a pretty good start. I have managed to blow a good amount of time getting my top feeds into GReader (you know everyone is going to call it that). Interface is nice so far. Having labels like in Gmail is cool. And the built-in Gmail and Blogger actions is sweet. And having starred items is really nice.
But the big thing will be having a good reader that I can view anywhere thanks to my Google account. And you know that it will help with Google's index since they will be able to discover new feeds they didn't know about based on what people subscribe to.
And vim-style shortcuts are just what I wanted. =)

it was extremely slow yesterday when it got slashdotted, but I think it got better today. yeah, gReader looks pretty nice, but I am waiting for the web office thing that has been rumor around since the google and Sun conference :)
For the RSS-impared, what is Brett's feed url?
I got your call and will send an e-mail to you later :) Finished 1.5 inches of grading, still got another 2 inches with me (and about 4 inches at work). Bane of the teaching profession...
