Looks like Apple is stepping on Adobe's toes a little bit. Now if the damn thing had things like a text tool I would really think it was cool.

Well, without actually being a photographer and knowing what the workflow requires, and not having had an opportunity to actually play with it myself, I probably wouldn't know whether or not it should or should not have a text tool. It's not supposed to replace Photoshop, in any case. Apple already knows that everyone who will buy this product already has Photoshop and there's no real reason to duplicate functionality unless such functionality specifically ties into the model the Aperture is built around, which is that of an actual, natural photographic workflow. I'd think that a text tool, or anything Photoshop-like whose intent is to edit a photo beyond what an analog photographer would do in a darkroom would not be a normal part of the Aperture model. As I said, I could be wrong, since I really don't know anything about professional photography, but that's what it sounds like to me.
