Bloody back!

I have declared my attempt at improving my speech by speaking more clearly a success. While it seems people ask me to repeat myself more often now that I speak more slowly and clearly, that might just be me being overly sensitive to it. Regardless, I am happy with the results.

Now on to the next two steps of personal improvement. One is to look people in the eye when I talk to them. Thanks to being an overly shy, low self-esteem kid, I do not look at people very much when I talk to them. I almost always am looking around while I talk. Need to work on that.

The other thing I am working on is my posture. The big thing is keeping my shoulders back instead of slightly hunched forward. Basically doing what my father does to my shoulders any time he stands behind me.

Well, the back thing has miraculously already started to happen. I don't know what I did, but I am already catching myself with my shoulders back when I am not thinking about it. I am sitting upright in my computer chair. I already adjusted the seat in my car the best I can to help out.

The weird thing is that my back already hates being in its old position. I used to have my keyboard far forward when I had stuff on my desk, such as food. Now it hurts my back to have my keyboard far forward because I lean forward slightly. It's like I crossed some point where my back has decided that being straight is a good thing and thus is going to force me to keep this up. While it's all good, it is rather annoying to have it all happen so abruptly.
