Allowing that winning smile to show through

Yesterday I went to nights-only with my retainer! Now the smile that wins Staples checkout girls the world over can be enjoyed by all 15 hours a day (and that time is not a typo; I do sleep 9 hours a night)!

Last night I woke up from a dream thinking that I had tossed a spider to the wall and that it fell in between my bed and the wall. Not realizing it was a dream I got up and got a flashlight to check since I thought it was poisonous. I have done this about two other times in my life, all within the past year. Rather annoying.

Further proof my future temporary employer is cool, the Summer of Code was announced yesterday. If you happen to still be a full-time student over the age of 18 definitely check it out. You get $4,500 to work on an open source project that you propose (assuming you can get a mentoring organization to clear it). Wished they had this last summer (or earlier). Luckily I have this summer covered. =)

At least I get to help out. Being a member of the Python Software Foundation, which is a mentoring organization, I found out about this approximately two weeks ago. I am planning to help out during the proposal process and however else help is needed for this.

Which reminds me, I wonder, once I start working there, if I should put up a disclaimer that my views are mine and not of my employer, blah, blah, blah. Probably should to be nice to Google and to cover my ass from America's legal system.

Finally, the cancellations for my graduation are starting to come in. So far it looks like two people are not going to be able to make it, both because of scheduling conflicts that have cropped up.
