Yesterday I successfully defended my thesis, "Localized Type Inference of Atomic Types in Python". Went well enough, answering all the questions. Although I did find out later that no one has ever been unable to defend their thesis. Still nice to be done.
For those of you who want to read it, you can grab it at http://www.drifty.org/thesis.pdf . Amazingly, after announcing the thesis to the Python community there have been 482 downloads as of this post. That is orders of magnitude greater than I was expecting!
Oh, and it looks like I am going to get a @google.com email address along with a free t-shirt! Sweet! I am going to be physically and digitally pimped out in Google style come two and half weeks from now!
